Orthognathic Surgery

When the bony structure of the face lacks symmetry and its components are not well coordinated between them, it may be necessary to combine the orthodontic treatment with a maxillofacial surgery. Under general anesthesia, the surgeon moves the teeth AFTER the proper orthodontic treatment took place in order to correct the structure of the face. There are different surgical procedures for each type of orthographic problem.
